Dejan Prešiček - baritone saxophone
Dejan Prešiček was born in Celje in 1970. He graduated from the Music Academy in Frankfurt and continued his studies at Jean-Marie Londeix's master class in Bordeaux where he won the gold medal and the prize of the city of Bordeaux for saxophone and for chamber music.
At the international competition »Pierre Lantier« in Paris he won the 3eme Grand Prix for chamber music.
Besides being a member of the Slavko Osterc Trio, he also performed at several festivals as a soloist or a member of chamber orchestras (Festival Ljubljana, Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele, Musica Strasbourg, Ars Nova Mainz, Nova Antiqua Köln, Musika Viva München, Warsaw Autumn, etc.) and in concert halls in Europe (London, Paris, Berlin, Viennaj, Lisbon, Belgrade,etc.), Canada, the USA and Brazil.
As a solo artist he performed with the Slovenian Philharmonic, the Symphonic Orchestra of the RTV Slovenia, the Celje String Orchestra, the Symphonic Orchestra Domžale Kamnik, the Slavko Osterc Group and with the Soloists of the Belgrade Philharmonic.
He recorded for several radio and TV channels, such as the BBC London, Bayerischer Rundfunk, Deutschlandradio, SWR Stuttgart, SWR Baden Baden, Radio Lisboa, Polish Radio, RTV Slovenia, etc.
Furthermore, he also teaches at the Conservatory of Ljubljana, at international summer music schools (Summer Music School at the Podsreda Castle, International School Alpe-Donava-Adria) and is a jury member at Slovenian and international music competitions.
He is the co-founder and the president of the Slavko Osterc Group.
